'Orphan Black' Season 4: Tatiana Maslany Talks New Clone M.K.

"Orphan Black" season 4 will premiere this week, and the excitement for it is at an all-time high.
While the new season will put an emphasis on the past, with Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) trying to find where it all started, the show will also feature a few new characters and arcs. There will be a new clone, and she will play a vital role in the new season.
Maslany talked to Entertainment Tonight Canada about the upcoming season and offered a little insight on what her new character, M.K. is about.
"She's a hacker," the actress said about the sheep-mask-wearing clone. "So she has intel that they don't have."
The character is an addition to the 10 different roles Maslany has played since the show premiered in 2013. And while she says portraying different characters does not get easier per se, her body and brain has gotten used to switching to the different roles.

Speaking of a technique she uses to stay in character, Maslany said, "I love keying in musically because for me music is a physical and emotional thing. To use it to kind of key into the heartbeat of the character, a rhythm, their physicality, their emotional core. It's sort of a fun way to get into them."
Meanwhile, the actress has also shared how she learns about new characters on the show.
In an interview with ETalk, Maslany said: "I kind of like not knowing who's coming up though and sort of being challenged. [Co-creators] John [Fawcett] and Graeme [Manson] ... create characters we haven't seen already on the show so that they're always pushing and always challenging me, and I've loved that."
Maslany added: "[They] have always been amazing in terms of allowing me in that room ... and collaborating with them, and it's never been like they've been keeping a big secret from me until the last minute and then telling me there's a clone."
"Orphan Black" season 4 will premiere on April 14 on BBC America.
