The MTV Movie Awards 2016 are finally here, and fans are already excited to learn who among the list of great actors will bag the Best Male Performance award.
The actors who have been nominated gave outstanding performances in their respected films, but only one will take home the Moon Man. Who should win the award? Check out the list of nominees below, and tell us which one should win.
1. Chris Pratt in "Jurassic World"
Pratt's performance in the 2015 box office hit garnered mixed reviews, but fans definitely liked it. The movie even became the fourth highest grossing movie of all time.
2. Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Revenant"
There's no denying DiCaprio's acting talent. Fans and peers have been rallying for him for years to bag an Oscar, and this year, he finally got one via his performance for the Alejandro Innaritu-directed film.
3. Matt Damon in "The Martian"
Damon's performance in the film has already been recognized, and the actor was given a Golden Globe for it. The award was a bit controversial, though, since the film was categorized as a comedy. It doesn't change the fact that Damon gave a decent performance, though.
4. Michael B. Jordan in "Creed"
Those who watched "Creed" were disappointed when Jordan was not nominated for an Oscar for his performance in the film. Despite not being able to try nabbing an Academy Award, the actor's performance was a hit among many critics, and he was given a few awards for it.
5. Ryan Reynolds in "Deadpool"
Reynolds wowed viewers and critics for his performance as the crass and cynical anti-hero in the Marvel film. He was believable and funny.
6. Will Smith in "Concussion"
Many were upset when Smith was not nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the biographical sports film "Concussion." The snub even prompted Smith, his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith and other actors to boycott the awards ceremony. The lack of racial diversity among nominees also caused a stir, which led to a discussion on changing rules in the award-giving body.
