Shahrukh Khan Reacts To Prince William, Kate Middleton’s Visit To India On Twitter

Prince William and Kate Middleton just landed in India on Sunday and they’ve already had a very eventful day with traveling and attending a Bollywood filled charity event.
The royal couple met some of Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Shahrukh Khan, who also had the pleasure of meeting William and Middleton.
Many pictures from the charity event and gala dinner were revealed online, including one of SRK and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan welcoming the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge on stage at the Royal gala dinner.
SRK recently went to Twitter to express how wonderful it was meeting William and Middleton.
“They Royal couple was so gracious & full of poise. Tonite as I said is the nite of the King the Queen & the Knights. Wish all nites were same,” tweeted SRK. [sic]
With all of the Bollywood stars under one roof, we’re sure that the royal couple also had a memorable night.
William and Middleton attended a Bollywood-inspired charity gala at their hotel, where they rubbed shoulders with actors such as Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra and others.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, namaste,” said William. “Before I begin, Catherine and I would like to offer our condolences to all those affected by the terrible fire at the temple in Kollam. I know that all of you in this room will join us in those sentiments.”
William continued, “When Catherine and I were married, India was the first place on Catherine’s list that she told me that she wanted to visit. Two children and five years later, we have finally made it, and we are both honored to be here.”
Other stars that attended the charity event are Aamir Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Farhan Khan, Hrithik Roshan and more.
The reception and dinner raised funds for three charities that the couple met earlier during their first day in India. The charities are: Magic Bus, Doorstep, and India’s Childline, which support vulnerable children in Mumbai and across India.
The event consisted of a lot of Bollywood dancing and music with 200 Indian film, sport and business figures. William and Middleton apparently talked to the stars as well as cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
The fundraising event was organized by the British Asian Trust whose members include Syco executive Sonny Takhar, who works with Simon Cowell and One Direction.
