An Evening With Jay Z: Carnegie Hall
Last night was the first of a two night intimate concert given by rapper moguel Jay Z at New York's prestigious Carnegie Hall. Who knew hip hop could clean up so well...take a look at a few tweetpics that were taken by some of hip hops insiders.
This was a benefit concert for the benefit for The United Way of New York and The Sean Carter Scholarship Foundation. The vertran rapper performed many of his great hits with appearances by rapper, Nas as well as singer Alicia Keys . Jay also performed his latest hit, Glory, a song which was produced by Pharrell for his newest love his daughter, Blue Ivy. After rapping the song Jay stated: "I didn't think I was going to make it through that one. That was tough."
What I really liked about the concert (like I was there lol) was that 30 piece orchestra lead by a WOMAN with Quest Love of The Roots and singer Bilal also in participation. Jay changed a few times mostly in tuxedo attire like half of the audience then to a black tee and cap...wish I was there!!!
You know who styled the dapper rapper...
Someone verrry special to Jay took in the night's festivities...that deserves a whole notha post!!
