Jon Bon Jovi Spills 'I'm Not A Perfect Husband' To Wife Dorothea Hurley, But 'I Adore Her'

Singer and songwriter Jon Bon Jovi admits that there are always temptations to stray from his marriage while touring, but says that he "adores" wife Dorothea Hurley and would never dream of destroying their 27-year marriage for a one-night-stand.
The singer was asked several years ago in an interview via Yahoo Music about the type of husband he was. His answer might surprise you.
"One that runs away a lot more often than not. Ha ha! Not the perfect one! Trust me! Not on any level!" he shared.
After meeting at Sayreville War Memorial High School when they were teenagers, the couple dated on and off for ten years.
Hurley stood by Bon Jovi as the band traveled the world in the early days of their career, and joined them when she could on tour.
The couple wed in a quick wedding ceremony at Las Vegas' Graceland Wedding Chapel in 1989.
Bon Jovi appreciates the fact that Hurley is independent and strong, and can hold down the family homestead and tend to the couple's four children (Stephanie, Jesse, Jacob, and Romeo) while he promotes Bon Jovi's music around the world.
"'The fact she's independent and isn't needy or possessive helps, and she is just a very strong woman. I am wise enough to realize that women are much smarter than any man and that women control the world," the singer quipped to Yahoo.
The couple live quietly in Manhattan and keep a residence in New Jersey. The singer has never strayed too far from his home base, always returning to his roots.
"I don't like to visit Hollywood," he said to The Telegraph. 'When I'm there I keep my suitcase packed and my door locked."
Bon Jovi remarked to People that he is still as in love with his wife as they day he was when they first met at the age of 18.
"I got it right the first time," the singer told People. "She's the best, I just adore her."
Bon Jovi's latest album "This House Is Not For Sale" will be released sometime in 2016.
