"Orange is the New Black" season 4 by Jenji Kohan is already shaping up to be the most exciting season yet, and even its stars cannot hide their excitement in continuing their characters' stories.

Selenis Leyva, who plays inmate Gloria Mendoza in the show, said that the women of Litchfield Penitentiary are going to stir up more trouble this season, particularly the Latina group.

"I think [Season 4] is going to be one of the most talked about seasons," Leyva told The Huffington Post. "There's a lot more conflict, there's division amongst the groups more than ever. This is the season of the rise of the Latinas and there's a lot of conflict within that."

Leyva refused to go into detail and provide spoilers for the next season, but she did say that fans would definitely be holding on to the edge of their seats once the fourth season rolls about.

"There's a lot of danger lurking around the corner this season. My heart was beating fast for the six months we were shooting," she teased.

Mendoza has been tight with fellow inmate Sophia Burset (played by Laverne Cox) for the past few seasons, but the two had a falling out in season 3.

When TV Guide asked if there is any chance the two former friends will make amends, Cox answered no.

"I don't think that can be repaired," the actress admitted.

But even though Burset lost a friend, Cox still feels happy with how things worked out because her character has now been given the chance to address the issues faced by trans women in prison.

"The reasons of why Sophia ended up in solitary, the violence that she experienced, that violence is a reality for far too many people who are incarcerated, particularly trans women who are far too often incarcerated in men's prisons," Cox said.

"Orange is the New Black" will return to Netflix on Friday, June 17.
